200 projections over 6 days, 10 to 11 by Pelin Esmer wins the Grand Prix Golden Angel of Tofifest 2010, Felicita by Salome Aleksi wins the audience award. Tofifest is an annual event in Torun and stands out by supporting rebellious insolent cinema, screening films which look for the truth about contemporary man, provoke discussion about difficult social and political problems. Such films are also presented together with discussions.

The Tofifest Film Festival this year included over 200 projections over 6 days (26th June to 2nd July) on five screens including free outdoor showings. Tofifest is an annual event in Torun and stands out by supporting rebellious insolent cinema, screening films which look for the truth about contemporary man, provoke discussion about difficult social and political problems. Such films are also presented together with discussions.

Grand Prix Golden Angel Award

11e 10 kala or 10 to 11 won the Grand Prix Golden Angel of Tofifest 2010 this month, the film directed by Turkish director Pelin Esmer is a passionate story involving a concierge and a collector and the place where they live in Istanbul.

Audience Award
The Tofifest audience award went to Felicita, the story of Tamara who lives and works in Italy, she saves some money to support her children who live in Georgia, there is an accident and difficulties ensue, the realities of contemporary capitalism, immigrant workers and rough justice. Directed by Salome Aleksi.
